Minority Report~Shot By Shot Analysis

Shot 1 ~ Some people may argue that this is a medium close up shot, however I think that this is a close up shot as it allows the audience to see only one part of the actor, which in this case is Tom Cruise's face. This type of shot is used in order to focus on Cruise's emotions that are conveyed through his facial expressions.

Shot 2~ I think this is a Medium Close Up Shot seeing as the head and shoulders of each character is visible. This suggests that the director is only focusing on each and everyone's emotions rather than the background as you can only see a glimpse of it; because of this, we end up making assumption. Eventually. we star to question & become uncertain of what to expect next in the following scenes.

Shot 3~ This is a Long Shot. It shows us plenty of background and action for example, we can see where the scene is located; inside a garage that hasn't been used in for a long time hence the worn out car.

*Channel 4 is known for engaging news and analysis for people who want to know ‘why?' This is one of the reasons why many people, for instance me and my family, prefer watching channel 4 news compared to Sky News etc.

Target Audience:
*Channel 4 News has a higher proportion of 16-34 age /news; group viewers. I would say that there is a 50/50 chance of boys/girls who watch channel 4 news.

TV News Bulletin

London News Story: 'Police are treating the death of Tommy Main, From South-East London as unexplained' we chose this story because it seemed quite odd for the police to leave a death as unexplained as it doesn't give justice for the victims family and friends.

Sports News Story: Belgium won 2-1 against USA. We chose this story as it was mainly talked about in school.

Funny News Story: Miley Cyrus states that 'Birmingham is the sluttiest city in the world' We chose this story because her statement was peculiar especially coming from her.

National News Story: 'Women gave birth to a healthy baby girl outside Primark, in Birmingham Street'. We chose this story as it is something people would say "awww" to. Also it is something positive for the viewers to talk about.

What order did you broadcast the stories in? Why did you place the stories in that order?
We did not order our broadcast in a particular way.

How did you make sure the script was the right length?
We made sure the bulletins were short and easy to understand and also used simple sentences which was realistic considering our time limit.

How did you make sure the broadcast was professional?
The person with the most confidence volunteered to be the News Presenter. This made our broadcast seem professional as it would give the viewers the impression that he is mature, therefore they would take the broadcast seriously.

What was your specific role in the group?
We all worked together and helped each-other find a suitable story for each.

Rate your group’s ability to work collaboratively out of 5 (1=poor, 5=excellent)
Overall, I would rate my group a 4.

How could your group have worked more effectively as a team & What would you do differently if you was given the chance to it again?
I think we should have shared out the workload rather than all of us doing each one together. This would have probably gain as more time to improve any errors we had missed to correct This is what I would do differently if I was given the chance to do so.

Swale Heating TV Advert:

This is a TV Advert. It is targeted towards families looking to save  money on their gas bills. One would say that their services is trustworthy. This is briefly outlined in the advert as it informs us that; "In 1972, Swale heating was keeping people in the south-east warm" & that they're still in business. This illustrates how proud they are of their success as they have been in business for more than 40 years, which is why they're trying to encourage more families to be part of it ensuring their success to be continued.
This advert is no longer shown on Tv, however is easily found on YouTube.

The Equalizer Official Trailer

Genre: Even though this movie hasn't been released yet, we are able to conclude that this is an action and crime based movie. This is because the trailer contains aggressive behaviour which gives us an "image" of what to expect.

Audience: I would say that this movie is targeted towards males aged 17 and over. The movie is rated 'R' which informs us that it will contain explicit content such as foul language, fighting (aggressive behaviour) and sexual content. This suggests that males would enjoy watching this movie compared to females, as they are more aggressive whilst women are more sensitive. 80% male & 20% female

Platform:  Although this is a trailer, you will be able to watch the extended version in the cinema's, however for those below 16 a parent/guardian must be present  for you to be allowed to watch it. After the movie gets released you will notice that people will be able to watch it on online websites, such as putlocker.is, youtube and many more! People tend to do this out of laziness as they cant be asked to watch it in cinemas or either to save money. :)
